MUANG LA Resort > The rooms
In the heart of our wonderfully coloured gardens, where butterflies and birds come to be rest, you find our 6 rooms built in 3 small villas. Each room offers a rich blend of traditional construction and furniture of a more modern design; all built by local craftsmen from Oudom Xay. The individually styled rooms’ house works of art by Laotian painters and sculptors, and all are named after local ethnic groups. Lenten, Ikho, Hmong, Akha, Khamu and Tai Lu – it is art from these groups that is spread through the resort, for a real insight into the varied culture of Laos.

Inside the rooms, the bleached walls emphasize the softness of the wood. The beams, the parquet floor and furniture have been treated with local essential oils to give a light perfume to wood. Pieces of local art and traditional fabrics woven by women from the surrounding area add the finishing touches and give the rooms their individual character. Each room has an en-suite, modern and beautifully decorated bathroom with shower and toilet.
